This program will provide an introduction to the clinical considerations for transgender, gender non-binary, and gender non-confirming adults. Sex, gender identity, and sexual orientation will be defined along with issues effecting disclosure. Additionally, the program will discuss common experiences and healthcare issues effecting transgender adults. The references provided discuss guidelines for psychological practices with sexual minority persons, supporting transgender persons, and engaging with transgender persons regarding gender dysphoria.
