Program Description
This presentation is intended to clarify the dynamics of domestic violence, the traumatic impact on victims, the particular challenge COVID-19 presents for people in abusive relationships and best intervention practices.

Speaker Biography
Doreen Nicholas is the Domestic Violence Response Manager at the Arizona Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence (ACESDV). Doreen has over 40 years of experience both personally and as a worker in the Anti - Sexual and Domestic Violence Movements. Doreen served on the Executive Board of the Arizona South Asians for Safe Families (2004-2019), is a faculty member of the Arizona Victim Assistance Academy and regularly works with the National Organization for Victim Assistance. She works to assist communities to better provide a comprehensive, flexible, compassionate response to Domestic and Sexual Violence. Ms. Nicholas does community trainings on the local, state, national and, one time, internationally.

CE Credits
1 credit hour will be available. To receive CE credit, participants will be required to complete a brief online quiz after the presentation to demonstrate full attendance.
