Call for Proposals

The Arizona Psychological Association (AzPA) invites the submission of abstracts for program sessions to be considered for presentation at the AzPA 2024 Annual Convention. The Convention Committee is working to create a program that will offer a great educational experience for all. This year, our convention theme is Spirituality, Science, and Culture: Embracing Embodied Healing. Related to this focus, we are seeking presentations that address efforts toward decolonization and achievement of equity within our profession, as well as attend to broad aspects of identity and experience of psychologists as whole persons. Our goal is to promote evidence-based care, education, and research.

Examples of how your presentation can relate to the theme include but are not limited to:

1. How your research or practice reflects equity and inclusion considerations.
2. Reflection on your personal connection with the work you are presenting.
3. Reflection on or description of how you integrate spiritual and cultural perspectives into your practice/research.
4. Ways you identify best practice considerations for populations understanding limitations and discriminations of population based research.

Submitters must be available to present for a 1.5 hour session in a live in-person format on September 13 or 14, 2024 in Tucson, AZ.
