Membership types

AzPA Sustaining Members are individuals who meet the criteria required for membership and who voluntarily elect to increase their dues payment by adding $100 to show their support of the Association's activities. Sustaining members may be acknowledged in AzPA publications and at the Annual Convention.

Professional Level

Full
Annual Dues: $295

Full Members shall:

  • Hold a current license as a psychologist from the Arizona Board of Psychologist Examiners, and/or

  • Be a member or Fellow of the American Psychological Association, and/or

  • Hold a doctoral degree in psychology from a regionally accredited institution, and/or

  • Hold a current license as a Psychologist from state/territory and be supported and employed by the Department of Defense (DOD) as a psychologist working in Arizona.

    Full - First Year
    Annual Dues: $150

    Full - First Year Members shall:

    • Meet requirements necessary as a Full Member; and 
    • Have not previously been a member of AzPA

    Academic
    Annual Dues: $265

    Full Members shall:

      • Meet requirements necessary as a Full Member and

      • Be employed as a full-time faculty member at an accredited college or university.

      Out of State
      Annual Dues: $95

      Out of State Members shall:

        • Meet requirements necessary as a Full Member and

        • Reside outside the State of Arizona.

        Full - Early Career Psychologist Discount
        (
        Available within three years of licensure for new members & Student Affiliate or Post-Doctoral members renewing as a full member for the first time.)
        Must meet requirements necessary for Full Member.


        Professional Training Level

        Student Affiliate
        Dues: Complimentary

        Student Affiliate Members shall:

          • Be graduate students in psychology at a regionally, nationally or APA accredited university; and

          • Be actively pursuing an advanced degree in psychology.

          • Undergraduate Members shall be attending a regionally, nationally or APA accredited college or university pursuing a degree in psychology.

          AzPA is offering complimentary memberships to student affiliate members. Members are invited to make a voluntary contribution or join as a Sustaining Student Member in lieu of dues.

          Post-Doctoral
          Dues: Complimentary

          Post-Doctoral Members shall:

            • Have completed a doctoral degree in psychology or a related field that qualifies for licensure as a psychologist; and
            • Be actively pursuing Arizona state requirements for licensure as a psychologist.
            AzPA is offering complimentary memberships to post-doctoral members. Members are invited to make a voluntary contribution or join as a Sustaining Postdoctoral Member in lieu of dues.

            Associated Professional Level

            Professional Associate
            Annual Dues: $185

            Professional Associate Members shall:

            • Be health professionals with an interest in understanding the psychological implications of their patients’/clients’ health; or, have completed two years of graduate study in psychology; or hold a masters degree in psychology from a regionally accredited graduate or professional school

            • Be permitted to serve on (and vote in) committees at the invitation of the President, but shall not vote (other than in committees) or hold office in the Association

            • Be entitled to receive AzPA publications

            • May be offered discounts for the annual convention, continuing education activities and other business and travel programs

            Friend Of Psychology
            Annual Dues: $100

            Friend of Psychology Members shall:

            • Be an individual interested in supporting psychology, psychologists, and the Arizona Psychological Association

            • Be entitled to receive AzPA publications
            • Be permitted to serve as public members on select committees at the invitation of the President, but shall not vote or hold office in the Association

            Organizational
            Annual Dues: $750

            Organizational Members shall:

            • Be an organization interested in supporting psychology, psychologists, and the Arizona Psychological Association (involved in healthcare and/or supply products or services to healthcare professionals)

            • Be entitled to receive AzPA publications

            • Be permitted to appoint a representative of the organization to serve as public member on select committees at the invitation of the President, but shall not vote or hold office in the Association

            Retired Psychologists

            Retired
            Annual Dues: $95

            Retired Members shall:

            • Have previously met all requirements of Full or Out-of-State Members;
            • If no longer licensed or an APA Member, have voluntarily relinquished such licensure or membership while in good standing;
            • Have reached the age of 65; and
            • Have applied for status as Retired Member.

            Life
            Annual Dues: $75

            Life Members shall:

              • Be members of the Association who have reached the age of 65 and who have retired from professional service; and

              • Have been members of the Association for at least 20 years; and

              • Have submitted a written request to the Governing Council of the Association to have their membership status changed to Life Member.

              • Be exempt from dues to reflect the Association's appreciation for their contributions to AzPA over their years of membership but shall be encouraged to make a voluntary contribution.
