Program Description

We will be discussing how to support gender diverse youth as well as conducting the Safe Zone Training. Safe Zone certification can be used to show your allyship to the LGBTQ+ Community as well as provide an opportunity to learn more about creating safe spaces for all. The Safe Zone Project is a free online resource for powerful, effective LGBTQ Awareness and Ally Training Workshops. By becoming Safe Zone trained and certified, you will learn the basics of allyship as well as some of the key terms used by members of the LGBTQ+ Community. This can assist clinicians in working with individuals of the LGBTQ+ Community by providing information as to what LGBTQ+ stands for and how to create a safe environment for all. This training is provided in conjunction with how to support gender diverse youth in the hopes that it will expand upon the information presented in the Safe Zone Training with real world examples and practical application of the material covered.

To receive your SafeZone Certification of Completion as well as your SafeZone resources and stickers, please enroll in the free curriculum online at https://thesafezoneproject.com after this training event.
