Program Description
This talk will present the current research on child sexual grooming. We will begin with a history of the term child sexual grooming and its relevance to cases of child sexual abuse. Next, current research on sexual grooming including the development of a universal definition, model and assessment instrument will be discussed and applied to various populations. The talk will conclude with the application of current research on sexual grooming to the prevention, detection, prosecution and treatment of child sexual abuse.
