Program Description

In the gambling awareness and increasing risks presentation, we will discuss implications of gambling disorder, warning signs, types of gamblers, types of gambling, stages of problem gambling, and the similarities and differences compared with substance use disorders.

• Identify two symptoms of problem gambling as it relates to gambling disorder.
• Name two assessment techniques to identify at-risk gambling symptomatology.
• Identify two ways in which gambling poses a risk to family, friends, career and even the gambler’s life.
